Risk Response: Your Key to Success

The Proactive Risk PM Weekly

Proactive Over Reactive. Always.

Reader,

Last week, we built a prioritized list of risks by analyzing through qualitative and quantitative risk analysis.

Now, we need to build out risk response plans for each of our most prioritized risks.

PMI-RMP® Exam Content Outline:

Domain IV: Risk Response

To properly manage risks, we need to know how to respond to any risk triggers!
In this video, I go over:

  • Planning Risk Response
  • Implementing Risk Response

The smallest of the domains, Domain IV is critical to not just your exam, but for managing risks in real life. You can have the best list in the world, but if no one knows how to respond, your list is worthless and you will have an ever growing list of issues to deal with!

Your Takeaway:
Risk response goes beyond the 5x response methods taught during the PMP®. You have contingency planning, risk owners, risk burndown charts, and contingency planning.

The goal is to ensure you are ready to take on the challenge before the challenge ever arises. This is a key planning component for being proactive over reactive in your risk management!

Russ
